This is my new illustration, we should all fight to blur the lines of gender. The idea for this piece drew inspiration from contemporary idea’s of masculinity and femininity. Social Stereotypes are assigned to us as soon as we are born and they effect us throughout the rest of our lives. Being biologically Male or Female automatically allows us to be be given typical characteristics, blue for boys, pink for girls etc.
We go as far as to  assign gender to fashion.
This piece was created to challenge these stereotypes. We as people are constantly confronted with pressures and expectations based on our sex and sexual orientation. I endeavour to challenge our views, a garment of clothing does not have to be worn by a certain gender. we must try to see each person as an individual and not part of a pre-constructed stereotype.
